July -2025
Hello!
July is the month I usually take some time off to visit family and go camping etc. Of course the in-between of June to July happened so fast I wasn’t even able to create a looking forward to, so instead I’ll be writing about what happened.
The Cat and The Cobra in Albuquerque
The first two weeks I flew back to New Mexico to visit my mom for her birthday. We had a very low key time, with shopping and generally hanging out. I did plan a guest spot at the lovely The Cat and the Cobra where I got to catch up with some artists and meet the new ones. <3
mid way through the vacation my partner noticed that our elder cat Bella was going to the bathroom way too often, so he took her to the vet. We found out that the poor thing was suffering through a UTI and it was getting serious fast. He cancelled his visit and I had to cut my visit short. After many difficult days of administering many different levels of medicine and literally counting her bathroom breaks we took her to a followup on the 29th and she recieved an UTI no more A-OK. However she’s lost weight and going from 7lbs to 6lbs just seems so teeny tiny. So we’re attempting to bulk her up, feed her gravy for hydration and maybe change her food altogether.
Had to get a carrier for both of the kitties
We have also been camping / hiking / water splashing every chance we get. Since meeting my partner I have become a more outdoorsy person and it’s helping our mental health’s immensely. Even if I have some anxiety with packing each time.
I got an OruKyak and boy is it kinda dinky but kinda cute
I used to work weekends during this time but I had so many cancellations and reschedules. Everyone (including me) would want to go outside. So instead of booking and crossing my fingers, I reduce my schedule and try and roll with the inevitable reschedules.
