Why Hello Soon to Be Spring!
The beginning of spring always reminded me of my grandma. Her birthday was march 20th and her name was Vera, which was I'm guessing was short for Primavera.
I miss her. My fondest memories were of sitting there quietly at the kitchen table drawing or coloring as she did paperwork and cooked. Once at around 6/7 years old I drew her while she was writing checks, lips pursed with a frown. She must have thought it was funny because she framed it. It stayed on the wall till the day she passed. I wonder what happened to it...
She would draw me funny doodles how her cursive and calligraphy looked. As time went on my memory of her hands seem to linger, she had bad arthritis so her knuckles always seemed swollen, but her nails were always almond and pretty. Watching Spirited away you could see how Miyazaki had a similar memory as Yubaba had those same familiar grandma hands. I don't think much about how my path lead to tattooing, as it felt like a backup plan of sorts, but those memories do feel like they started that path.
With all that said, I am now booking for March and April! If you didn't already know I moved shops to Shokunin Tattoo. So far heading into month 3.5 I have been feeling that uncomfortable feeling one gets when your skills are leveling up. It's both invigorating and terrifying. I appreciate those who have become regulars who have hung out to get tattooed at the new place. And for those who have walked in that live around the area thank you for giving me a follow!
As always I love doing customs- Female figures of any sort especially the monster girl variety, folklore, yokai, mythos, and art nouveau.

Film, anime and video game characters are a love. I want to lean into color so I will be giving better deals for a colored version. Colorful witchy things, pet and person memorials, art nouveau florals, and clowncore are all more things I want to do as well.

Last but definitely not least please welcome my new social media assistant Serenity! No I didn't male her write this. She's going to help me stay on task with my posts (I'm basically a month behind) She'll answer any DMs regarding tats and ping me to follow up, and help with stories. So if you see her signature on some of the comments-- just know I'm not just talking to myself. We're still figuring stuff out so don't mind us if we double answer something or suddenly it sounds like I'm writing in 3rd person. Just getting used to the new vibe.
